HydroGraph, Sparc Outline Collaboration

HydroGraph said on March 24, 2026, that it entered into a letter of intent dated March 23, 2026, with Sparc Technologies to incorporate HydroGraph’s Fractal Graphene into Sparc’s ecosparc additives for protective coatings.

The companies said the agreement creates a framework for joint testing, product development and potential commercial supply. They also said they intend to negotiate a definitive commercial agreement within about 12 months if performance targets are met.

Why the Deal Matters

The collaboration gives HydroGraph another route to market for its graphene materials, this time in corrosion-protection products rather than only in bulk material sales. For Sparc, the deal adds a graphene supply partner as it continues testing additives designed to improve coating performance.

HydroGraph said Sparc’s early laboratory testing showed promising results in water-based coating systems, including reduced scribe corrosion creep. Under the new agreement, Sparc will move into longer cyclic corrosion testing in solvent-based coatings to validate performance under standard industry conditions.

The companies framed the arrangement as an early-stage commercialization step rather than a final sales contract. Any broader commercial agreement will depend on the results of additional testing, and no such agreement is guaranteed.
