Graphene “nano-aquariums” let Manchester team film gold atoms in liquid at atomic resolution

Researchers at the University of Manchester say graphene-based “nano-aquariums” have enabled the first atomic-resolution videos of individual gold atoms moving in liquid solvents, a development that could sharpen research into catalysts, batteries and other energy technologies.
